Regional Seas
Environmental protection has proven to be
a profoundly unifying issue. In region after region, from
the Mediterranean to Kuwait to the North-West Pacific, the
pattern is repeated: countries that agree on little else can
meet at the same table to discuss how to protect their marine
and coastal environment.
After three decades of forging partnerships around the world,
the Regional Seas Programme now works closely with 13 Regional
Seas and five partner programmes, each of which has its own
list of partners.
